  • A motivated, effective and professional staff who feel valued and supported in their work.
  • Supportive parents who are active partners in their children’s education.
  • A working environment that is stimulating, safe and appropriately resourced to maximize the achievement of student outcomes.

Walk to School Day : Thankyou Mrs Nicholson for coordinating this Term’s Walk to School day and also to the Year 1 students who made the ‘Bus Stop’ signs which were placed along each route. Help is needed to share the role of leading the ‘walking busses’ next year – we plan to hold one ‘Walk to School’ day each term.  If you can help please contact Helena Nicholson on 0429 429 921.

The P&C again provided a yummy before school snack of toast, fresh fruit and banana smoothie or milo for the hungry walkers (thanks Wendy, Kerry and Heather for your help).

School Calendar : Anyone wishing to have their business advertised in next year’s School Calendar please contact the printer Rob Griffiths on 9752 1002.

New books and readers : P&C approved funding of $2917 to purchase sets of new reading resources for the school for next year.

Christmas Toy Catalogues : Thank you to all parents who placed orders for toys, your response was fantastic and the school should receive approx.

$500 worth of credit vouchers. Thanks to Leanne Hough for coordinating this fundraiser.

Vege Garden News : Competition at the Busselton Show was very stiff and unfortunately we didn’t win any prizes with our broad beans. The Year 6 class has entered the Junior Landcare Challenge to grow the biggest watermelon in Australia. Good luck Year 6’s.

Kiss and Drop area is a NO PARKING and NO STANDING area. If your child is not ready to collect please move on to prevent traffic banking up. Parents who wait in the Kiss and Drop area create a traffic hazard as people cannot use Kiss and Drop orenter Parking area. If we all use this area correctly traffic flow would not be impeded and it would be safer for our children. If your child is not ready and waiting please move on and either park in the carpark or do a lap and re-enter the Kiss and Drop queue.

Community Lunch : Christmas Community Lunch is on this Friday 28 Nov.. P&C are providing fruit salad. If you can assist with chopping fruit please meet at Canteen at 9am. If you can assist with serving/washing up please meet at Dunsborough Hall at 12:30. Our wonderful school choirs will be performing carols at lunch.

Win a Bike Shed : Parents please enter this competition for a chance to win a $15 000 bike shed for our school. The school with the most entries wins – family members, students (with parents permission), teachers and community members can enter – please spread the word! Log onto http://www.rosebankhelmets.com.au/win/ and enter your name, phone number and category (Dunsborough has more than 300 students) and say why you want a shed in 10 words or less - “Would ride to school more often if had a shed” fits in!!
